JFAAC supports injustices that AAPI communities face daily.
We are currently spreading awareness about an unjust case that occurred in California.
We will try our best to brainstorm ideas to help each case that is brought to our Coalition.

Yerin's mother lost custody after being framed with Munchausen By Proxy Syndrome (MBPS). Almost right away, she proved that she did not have this serious mental disorder by passing 2 psych evaluations. She met with a counselor, as ordered by the court. She submitted these documents to the court but they ignored it.
Yerin is half-Korean, half-White. The court is extremely racist towards Asians (4% population).
85% of child custody is granted to perpetrators of child abuse. Their attorneys use a legal tactic called Parental Alienation along with Retaliation if parents try to share the truth.
Many children's lives would have been protected if and only if the court officials would listen to the concerns of worried mothers.
Child Abuse is Preventable.
In NYS, Kyra's Law must pass in order to protect children. In CA, the Coercive Control Act was just passed, which could potentially give hope for cases like Yerin's.
