About jfaac
The Justice for Asian American Coalition (JFAAC) was established in order to provide support for the AAPI communities
in the Greater Rochester Area. Students at the University of Rochester gathered together in response
to the rise of Asian American Hate Crimes in February, 2021.
Goals of JFAAC:
1) Holding necessary events and discussions
2) Sharing Asian Stories
3) Building community, sharing a space to heal together
4) Creating opportunities for underrepresented Asian youth
5) Educating our communities to support other BIPOC communities instead of focusing on blame
6) Providing Mutual Aid Funds and Legal Aid (Paralegal Services at the time) to Families in need
